Bahar Önderol
From Tech Leadership to Empowering Leaders
Equipped with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electronics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Bahar began her professional journey in 1991.
Stepping into her first management role at the age of 29, she was a quintessentially task-oriented engineer. However, she soon realized that the most complex challenges she faced were never technical—they were fundamentally human. She came to understand that true leadership wasn't merely about driving teams to hit targets; it was about navigating change and inspiring people. This awakening marked a pivotal turning point, transforming her from a conventional manager into a true leader. Over the following two decades, she held key executive roles at leading local system integrators like Gantek and İnova, as well as global tech giants including HP, HPE, BEA Systems, and IDS Scheer. Throughout this period, she built high-performing teams and spearheaded major structural and cultural transformation programs.
As her leadership responsibilities expanded, her focus naturally shifted toward philosophy and psychology. Deeply influenced by existentialism, she developed a profound passion for unlocking human potential. Witnessing firsthand how coaching and mentorship could radically transform lives and careers became the driving force behind her second career, ultimately leading her to the path of professional coaching.
She officially launched her coaching journey between 2018 and 2019, training at some of the world's most prestigious coaching institutions, including Adler, CTI, and CRR Global, and founded her own firm, Önderol Leadership and Career Development. In 2020, she completed Adler’s Advanced Coaching Practicum, earning her Adler ACPC and ICF PCC credentials. She served as a project leader for ICF Turkey (2020-2021) and worked as a trainer and executive coach at NEV Gelişim (2022-2024). In 2023, she was recognized as one of Istanbul’s Top 10 Executive Coaches by 'The Forbetter Institute'. As of 2026, alongside running her own practice, she collaborates with the Institute of Behavioral Sciences (DBE) as a strategic solutions partner, delivering corporate leadership training and professional coaching programs.
Today, Bahar blends over 20 years of corporate leadership and more than 7 years of professional coaching experience with insights from modern neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology. She continues to guide organizations and leaders through their transformational journeys, creating lasting value every step of the way.
